About the Facility. The Lacks Cancer Center was built to house the latest lifesaving technologies and treatments, but its environment was designed specifically with the comfort of our patients and their families in mind. Our oversized private rooms feature remote control windows, plasma TVs and wireless Internet service. And, with services like onsite personal chefs, professional cosmetic and prosthetic specialists and holistic therapies, whatever needs may arise—whether physical, emotional or spiritual—our patients are well provided for.

Green is Better. The Lacks Cancer Center was the first hospital in Michigan, and the second in the nation to receive LEED Certification from the Green Building Rating System® of the United States Green Building Council. This mark of distinction not only signifies a dedication to the environment, it highlights our commitment to our patients’ continued well-being.
